Joy at the birth of the one true King
Doth fill the heart and mouth to sing
Unknown to the world He quietly came
With shouts from heaven to men proclaim
Of the joyous truth that He has come
To beckon the lost “ye sinner come home”
Come to earth, unlikely the place
Born to give fallen men grace
The arrival of the King hidden from sight
Proclaimed to shepherds by Angels in the night
From the days gone past voices of prophets old
The shepherds find as the messengers had told
The great JOY has come to all who will hear
The King we celebrate this time of the year.
